The City requires that residents obtain a permit to have garage sales with the exception of the free garage sale week in June. Garage sales are limited to once every nine months, and are available at City Hall for $1 during normal business hours.
The Service Department handles several permits including, Garage Sale and Special Events. The cost for a garage sale permit is $1 and can be picked up at the front desk.
2022 Free Garage Sale Week: June 3rd through June 12th, permits and fees are waived.
Reynoldsburg is known as "The Birthplace of the Tomato". The tomato was 'born' in Reynoldsburg in the 19th century with the help of local favorite son Alexander W. Livingston. Livingston developed the 'Paragon Tomato', billed as the first ever tomato bred for commercial use. His legacy lives on in the Livingston House and Museum on Graham Road, which is listed on the National Registry of Historic Homes.
