Chief Curtis Baker was appointed by Mayor Joe Begeny on June 30, 2020, to serve as the Chief of Police for the City of Reynoldsburg. Chief Baker joined the Reynoldsburg Division of Police in October of 2018, when he was appointed to Deputy Chief of Police.
Chief Baker started his law enforcement career as a part-time police officer in Northville, Michigan. Shortly after, he was hired as a full-time police officer at Eastern Michigan University. In 1999, Curtis left Eastern Michigan University and returned to the Columbus area where he joined the Hilliard Division of Police, leading the Detective Bureau. In 2017, Curtis then transferred to the New Albany Police Department. Chief Baker is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and The Capital University Law School.
