1. When and where are council meetings held? Are the meetings open to the public?

All council meetings are held in Council Chambers at 7232 East Main Street in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.  All meetings (except Executive Sessions) are open to the public

• Committee Meetings - 2nd and 4th Monday of every month
• Full Council Meetings - 2nd and 4th Monday of every month
• Council Recess - The month of August

If a Monday is a nationally recognized holiday, the meeting is held on the immediately succeeding Tuesday. Unless otherwise noted, meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. 

2. Who are my local Council representatives and how can I speak to them?

3. How can I speak at a Council meeting?

Anyone, interested in speaking during a Council meeting, should complete a speaker form available on the podium outside of Council Chambers.  Hand the completed form to the Clerk of Council prior to the start of the meeting.  All speakers are limited to three minutes.  This comment period is an opportunity for community members to address Council.  All comments should be addressed to the members of Council.  Council may or may not respond to comments.  Residents may indicate on their speaker form if they wish to be contacted by a member of the administration.

4. How long are Councilmember's terms of office?

Each council member serves a 4-year term.

5. Who is my Council representative?

Please call the Council office at 614-322-6805 to request your Ward. While the three At Large Councilmembers represent all residents, there are also four Ward members. You may also view your Ward location at Ward Map (PDF).

6. How do I run for City Council?

You can contact the Board of Elections for the county in which you reside (Reynoldsburg is in three counties - Franklin, Licking, and Fairfield) in order to obtain the proper documentation for filing for elected office.
